Redbox Rentals

I am sure that *you* already know this but since we learned the hard way, I thought I would share our experience with you.  Do you know about Redbox Rentals?  Our Walmart, Walgreens and a gas station has one – sometimes McDonald’s has them.  It’s a DVD rental kiosk where you can rent DVD’s for $1 a night.  We rent them quite often and find it a great value at $1 a night.

I am usually the one that is in charge of renting and returning the DVD’s because I am the one that is handier with all things computer-related.  However, last night my hubby took the movies back and when one DVD wouldn’t go in easily, he forcibly pushed it in.  That is my piece of advice – don’t force the movies back into the kiosk!!

I called Redbox this morning because I wanted to make sure that the movies got returned into their system and as I suspected, only one of them showed up.  As a one-time courtesy, they went ahead and marked both movies as returned.  She also gave me some advice to pass on to my husband when it came to returning movies!  LOL!  You can believe he won’t be doing that again!  It’s nice to know that in most situations you can call customer service and get your problems resolved.

So, don’t force those movies back!  In some cases, if the machine won’t accept the movie, it is full and you’ll have to find another location to return the movie.
