Provision

“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:19

Worrying about my future is pointless when it is obvious that God has it all covered.  He really does.  I’ve presented several needs to him over the past few weeks and He has showed me that he will take care of me.  Some of those requests really went through to him more in a whining fashion but he still heard me.  He sure is patient with me and always Faithful.

Need:  We don’t have medical insurance and although Medicare automatically kicks in on all dialysis patients, there is still numerous doctor visits and, for me, two upcoming surgeries in preparation to begin dialysis.

Provision:  I signed up for the Financial Assistance Program at our local hospital and qualified for 100% coverage on all hospital-related services.  That means the surgeries are completely covered.  I can trust Him for the doctors appointments and medications!

Need:  The boys are usually in need of new clothing when the seasons change and this year was no exception.  Normally it is fairly easy to get them the things they need but will everything that is going on, the clothing budget was a bit tight.  I wasn’t sure how we were going to manage it but then, as usual, He came through.

Provision:  Ever had unexpected money to just arrive in the mail?  A dear friend, who is part of the message board for Christian women that I frequent, sent me a gift card for $250 in a card that read “I was unexpectedly blessed and wanted to pass the blessing on to you.”  To say I was surprised is an understatement.  That is the Body of Christ in action.  The boys got new coats, jeans, shoes and shirts.

Need:  Well, I needed some winter things too and although He provided for the boys, it didn’t cross my mind to pray about clothing (how sad is that?).

Provision:  A friend of mine from church brought me several bags of clothing that a friend had passed to her.  I figured if they had been passed around, how desirable could these clothes be?  I was wrong on that one too.  I now have several great sweaters, shirts, pants and even capri’s for next summer.

Those are just three of my recent blessings.  I can promise you that it has been a great reminder to me of the faithfulness of our Father!  I just wanted to share this with you.
