The First Day Of 2009

I am not a clever writer so my blog is pretty much limited to posts about what my family is doing, books I read, an occasional rant, and updates on my health.  I find that I like journaling about my day, and I especially like looking back over the weeks and months and revisiting our day.  One of my goals for the New Year is to try and blog daily the little things.  I know that, at least, my Mom will read it!

We all rose fairly early for it being a New Year.  We are not night owls so we were all in bed by 9pm last night!  This morning the family went to Ryan’s for breakfast and we had a good time.  My sister Jenn came over around lunch time and she colored my hair.  My hair is so long and thick that I have a hard time doing a good job by myself – it took two boxes to do the job.

Around mid-afternoon, Michael and his friend Kate came over for a visit.  He is leaving Sunday morning to go back to school (sniff, sniff) so this was our goodbye.  We had several good visits over the last month and it’s been so fun getting to know him.  Facebook is great but face-to-face is much better!  Gosh, I hate goodbyes.

So it was a good, full day and because I was awake at 3:30, I could almost go to sleep now – but I will make myself stay awake at least until after dinner is over!  Hee, hee!

I have a notebook next to my bed, and I totally take little notes on the day and what we did. I have one for nearly all of last year, and Ron got me a new one for that exact purpose. I love reading your notes and will look forward to it in the new year as well.

Your mom sure does read them and loves every one of them!

    Love ya!

I read every day. BTW, my family was in bed by 10 PM on New Year’s Eve. Ha, Ha. I won’t apologize though. It felt GOOD!!!
