Baby, It’s Cold!
Today I learned a new word – “arcane” means mysterious. I need one of those “new word-a-day” calendars to improve my vocabulary. (Thanks, Michael!)
During the day, the boys are feeling very well and it is hard to keep them still. It’s in the evening when they really start coughing and sounding awful. The pediatrician called in some cough medicine for them and between that and the vapor rub I put on their feet at night, they were pretty quiet through the night and got the sleep they needed. As a matter of fact, they slept past 8am this morning. Believe me, that never happens around here!
Thankfully it hasn’t been a very busy week around here. It’s been cold and the boys don’t need to be out in that. Today I have to go the dialysis center at 1pm for my monthly labs (blood work – start praying for my veins!) and my weekly Epogen shot. My blood sugar isn’t dangerously high but it has been going up since the dialysis solution is made of dextrose – so they will probably be adjusting my meds for that.
Still no snow for us – but we are hoping!
