A Good Report

Every month I attend “planning rounds” at my kidney doctor’s office.  Planning rounds means I meet with my dietitian, my social worker, my nurse and my doctor and we make adjustments or changes to my treatment.  Today was one of my best meetings ever.  My dietitian was practically glowing when she handed me my “report card” (tells me how well I’ve been doing with different levels).  Here are some of my improvements:

The doctor said my blood pressure was perfect.  He also took me off another medication which means 6 less pills a day for me – I take quite a few.  Overall, I think it is an excellent report.  I really struggle with eating enough protein; the doctor recommended whey protein powder and the dietitian recommended Zone bars.

    I AM REALLY GLAD YOUR REPORT CAME BACK SO WELL! IT IS ALWAYS GOOD TO HAVE SOME GOOD NEWS FOR A CHANGE ISN’T IT. SCOTT DOES DRINK SOME PROTIEN DRINKS. HE MAY CAN TELL WHICH ONE TASTE GOOD. HE MIXES THEM WITH MILK AND HE PUTS BANANAS AND STRAWBERRYS WITH IT. REMEMBER PEANUT BUTTER IS A GREAT SOURCE OF PROTIEN. I EAT IT ALOT WITH A APPLE. I ALSO FOUND SOME BARS AT THE DOLLAR STORE THAT HAS ALOT MORE PROTIEN THAN OTHERS I WILL TRY AND PICK SOME UP FOR YOU TO TRY. YOU DON’T NESSASARLY HAVE TO EAT A TON OF MEAT. I DON’T THINK YOU CAN EAT CHEESE CAN YOU? MAYBE WE CAN SWAP IDEAS BECAUSE I AM ALWAYS LOOKING FOR BETTER THINGS TO EAT. REMEMBER PROTIEN GIVES YOU ENERGY!!!!!
