Monthly Appointments!
June 22nd, 2010 — Everyday
It’s been almost 3 months since my kidney transplant and I finally feel like I am on the road to recovery. My only real complaint right now is that my energy level is not quite yet at 100% and the medication I take gives me joint pain. Other than that, I am doing well and enjoying life. It’s a lot more simple than purchase order financing, if you know what I mean.
My appointments at the very beginning were every week and sometimes 2 or more a week. Now things have slowed down to the point that I will be going once a month. The reason that is a big deal is that it is almost a 2 hour drive to my doctor’s!!
Side Effects
May 29th, 2010 — Everyday
I am a kidney transplant patient and if there is one thing I have learned, there are side effects to just about all medications!! Have you ever considered the side effects to diet pills? If you are interested in learning more, click here.
Before the dialysis and the transplant, I was hesitant to take anything but once I had the new kidney, I had no choice, especially when it came to the anti-rejection drugs! I have experienced some side effects, and some of them are not so pleasant. You have to consider if the drug is worth it - mine are!
Vacation Time!
May 29th, 2010 — Everyday
We are actually going on a vacation this year and I am excited!! I would love to buy one of the Disney vacation packages but honestly, I don’t want to drive that far right now. The guys are talking about a beach trip and that might be a possibility. That is only a 7 hour drive and I think I could handle that. I am supposed to take extra care being out in the sun but the people on my kidney transplant list says it is possible if I wear a good sunscreen, a wide brim hat and maybe carry a beach umbrella with us. I’d love for the boys to see the ocean - so we might really do this!!
Decorating The Living Room
May 29th, 2010 — Everyday
My husband recently painted our living room/dining room. It is a great color - almost an apple green but not as bright. He added a more modern light fixture to our dining room also and it looks lovely. Now I wish we had some contemporary furniture to go in the living room. While I am thankful for the hand-me-downs, it would be nice to have some new stuff. There is also nothing on the walls and I would like to correct that, too!

Gift Ideas
March 20th, 2010 — Everyday
Today I came across the neatest idea: personalized soccer balls! You can, of course, order them for your teams but you also have the choice to just order one and I think they would make the best gift idea! They mail the customer a design proof so you can approve the design before they start production.
Not only do they have soccer balls, they also have baseballs, footballs, basketballs, hockey pucks, and volleyballs. If you don’t know which sports ball you would like to give - then give give certificates! What a great, original idea!!

Healthy Pillows!
March 4th, 2010 — Everyday
Did you ever consider that your pillows could be what’s making you sick? Let’s take a look at the healthy pillow and see how it could benefit us.
I personally have a lot of problem with allergies and sinus’. The allergens such as dust mites and mold are usually the culprits that affect these type of problems and a lot of them are located in your pillow! These allergens only get worse with time (because we are breathing moisture into our pillows). The Healthy Dream Pillow is germ-free, mold-free and allergen-free. Get ready for a good nights sleep!
What makes this pillow so special? How is it made differently than regular pillows? The outer fabric of the pillow (cotton) is bonded to a “ComforTech” membrane that is soft and stretchable. This is what keeps the moisture from passing into the pillow. The shell is also treated with a special germ and mold fighting agent to keep things from growing on the surface.
Your Healthy Dreams pillow has special care instructions with the number one being Do NOT wash it. Instead, spot clean only and wipe with a damp cloth and then let it air dry. This will keep it fresh and healthy for months to come.
The more I read about this pillow, the more I realize that *I* want my own Healthy Dreams pillow! Who knew that a pillow could go so far as to help your allergy and sinus problems? As much as I deal with sinus problems, this means everything to me! Check it out!!
